Hi Chris, I was really struggling to find the differences at first as they all looked the same initially. But having looked at them again, I'm leaning towards no 3. Hope this helps. Take care Carmen
Hi Chris, 2 is my least favourite as the main text covers more of the image. I prefer the balance of 4 and like how story title is introduced as Clement C Moore's The Night Before Christmas. Just sounds a bit more classy.
Contrary to the most, I don't like 1 and 2 at all. The text at the top look ill-placed to me, especially since there isn't much room there anyway. I go for 4. Same reasons like Unknown posted before.
I prefer number 1. It's balanced a you find the information quickly. Moreover I like it because the wording above and below act as a virtual frame to the illustration. Hope it helps. Mind you I am not a graphic designer nor an illustrator bit I love your work. regards from Argentina.

1 for me Chris
ReplyDeleteNumber 2. It looks more proper the way the names are displayed at the bottom and leaves the upper portion of the illustration clearer.
ReplyDeleteNumber two!
ReplyDeleteNo 1 for me.
ReplyDeleteNo 3 for me.
ReplyDeleteA clear divide between title and artist / authors [no 2 blurs the two being so close to each other, imo]
Two. The impact is not lessened by having text at the top as in the others.

I like #2 as the layout of the names reminds me of a Christmas tree silhouette. :)
ReplyDeleteNumber 1
ReplyDeleteNo 2 for me. It looks nicely balanced with all the words at the bottom.
ReplyDeleteI prefer no 2 gives you all the relevant information in a very nicely balanced script
ReplyDeleteThanks to everybody for your help. Looking across all my social media profiles, it is neck and neck between 1 and 2.
ReplyDeleteNumber 1 drew my eye immediately, before I examined all the layout designs. It's has a good use of the 2/3rds rule and uses the golden ratio.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely prefer No 2 - neater, more logical layout.

ReplyDeleteNumber 1! Your art is inspiring.
